We are failing to resolve the conflict between our economic aspirations and the growing imperative to protect our Earth. The pressure building up will lead to revolutionary change.
We, in the developed world have set the example of industrial development and it is roaring ahead, attracting more and more followers. It is now the responsibility of the developed world to lead the drive to save our world, and help those less fortunate than us to bounce forward to a sustainable future.
We can be confident that the developed world will become sustainable eventually. All we lack is the will to make it happen.
If we do not take the lead, and act quickly, the damage caused by countries beyond our direct control will continue for many decades longer leading to irreparable damage.
We are witnesses to the start of the Sustainable Revolution.
